Alicia called Red Door to get some information about Gutter Guard installation. She told us that her home in Gainesville Va needed a gutter cleaning first. We were happy to tell her about our Rain Drop Gutter Guards and the incredible benefits they would bring – like a rigid structure to last many years longer than other brands on the market, perfectly sized holes to ensure water can drain through without allowing any debris and leaves to enter the gutters. Alicia was even more thrilled to hear that we provide a FREE gutter cleaning with all of our gutter guard installations. Mrs. Evelyn noticed her gutters were clogged with the leaves from the nearby trees. She lives in the Falls Run Community and isn’t able to get up on a ladder to clean them out herself. Mrs. Evelyn found our site through a quick online search for Stafford Gutter Cleaning. Our team took great care of her and removed the leaves and debris from her gutters. She is now able to enjoy her free time with her neighbors without worrying about the gutters overflowing with the next rain.

Tired of your gutters being clogged every fall?
Tired of empty promises from gutter guard manufacturers?
So were we, so we decided it was time to do something about it!

Here’s the thing, your gutters are designed to keep the water away from your house, right? The purpose of gutter guards is to “guard” your gutters, isn’t it? So why do so many of the “higher end” versions fail in the heavy rain? The water runs right over your gutters, rendering them useless, and that water drops right alongside the very foundation that is the primary thing you are trying to protect! Other variations utilize a fine mesh screen to block everything from getting in (even the stuff that would easily flow down your downspouts in a good heavy rain), and they get clogged up themselves! Who wants to get on their roof with a leaf blower to clean off all of that junk?
Enter Raindrop Gutter Guards. We came across this product because we clean gutters for our customers, and so many of them were unhappy with the mass-marketed solutions they had seen in the big box stores, or had been pitched to them by salesmen. There had to be a guard out there that could keep the large junk out of your gutters, while allowing even the heaviest of rain to flow away from your home. Our owner even installed these guards on his home to see them in action for himself! The results were outstanding, and he was so happy with the product that we decided we should offer it to our clients to solve their gutter problems as well.
The truth is that no gutter guard can make a “never clean your gutters again” guarantee. The hard covers get filled by pine needles and helicopter seeds; or birds/wasps will move in through the smallest crack to enjoy the relative safety of the covered gutter. Cleaning through those covers is impossible too, you can’t even see what’s in there without tools. Raindrop fills the niche of “the best of both worlds”, keeping out the large clogging leaves, while allowing the finer roof pebbles and such to pass through and out of the downspouts. Should a clog or need for cleaning arise, it can easily be diagnosed visually, without removing every section of cover (since we clean gutters too, this is a huge reason we like installing these!). The black color makes them virtually disappear above the roofline, and even helps mitigate the potential formation of ice dams in our relatively moderate Mid-Atlantic winters. Best of all, they come with a 20-year warranty from the manufacturer!
Compare the products out there, and we’re confident you will find the value in these guards to be among the best. If you clean your own gutters, these will significantly minimize the frequency, and amount of work required when any sort of cleaning is required. If you pay someone else to clean them for you, they should pay for themselves by keeping those costs minimal. In the end, the installed cost falls at or below the low-end for your typical “hard” gutter cover, while matching or exceeding performance and durability.
Whatever path you take, do your homework, and happy homeowning!
